Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 July 2026 · Not legal advice, review before launch
These terms govern your use of the TrueSold Chrome extension, truesold.co.uk and the associated services (together, the "Service"), operated by Pricing Logic Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales. By installing the extension or using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
TrueSold shows true sold prices for eBay UK listings — including comps from recent sold searches and, where exposed, the exact accepted Best-Offer price — inline on listing and search pages, computed client-side from your own signed-in eBay session. Free core lookups, plus optional Pro features (history charts, saved searches, sold alerts).
2. Estimates, not advice
3. Accounts
- Core sold-price lookups can be used without an account.
- Pro features require a free account (sign-in via Clerk). You're responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure.
- You must be at least 16 to create an account, and 18+ to purchase a subscription.
- One free allowance per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent metering is not permitted.
4. Free tier and Pro subscription
- Free: unlimited quick sold lookups (median, average, range and Best-Offer detection where exposed) on the listing panel — no account required.
- Pro: full comp lists with thumbnails, price-history charts, saved searches, sold-price alerts and search-page annotations, for £4.99/month or £49/year (prices include VAT where applicable). Billing is handled by Stripe and recurs automatically until cancelled.
- Cancelling: anytime via "Manage subscription" in the extension (Stripe's customer portal). You keep Pro access until the end of the paid period. Except where the law requires otherwise (see below), fees already paid are non-refundable.
- UK/EU consumers: you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a new subscription. By starting to use Pro features immediately you consent to immediate supply; if you cancel within 14 days we may deduct a proportionate charge for the service already provided.
5. Fair use
The Service is designed for per-listing, user-initiated lookups on pages you are actually browsing. Automated scraping, bulk querying, batch or crawl-style requests, reselling access to the Service's data, or attempting to bypass metering or authentication is prohibited and may result in suspension or termination. We may apply reasonable rate limits, caching windows and challenge-detection safeguards to protect the Service and comply with eBay's own terms of use.
6. Third-party platforms and data
- The Service is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with eBay Inc., Stripe or Clerk. All trademarks belong to their owners; references are for compatibility description only.
- Data is read from eBay pages in your own browser session and may be delayed, incomplete, masked or otherwise limited by what eBay chooses to expose. Your use of eBay remains subject to eBay's own terms.
7. Intellectual property
We (and our licensors) own the Service, including its software, design and content. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer (except as permitted by law), or redistribute the Service.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" — we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and eBay's own page structure may change without notice. We may modify features, and may discontinue the Service with at least 30 days' notice to subscribers (with a pro-rata refund of any prepaid period beyond the shutdown date).
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that: we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service — including decisions made in reliance on its estimates; and our total aggregate liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid us in that period (or £50 if you paid nothing).
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction (consumers retain any mandatory protections of their home jurisdiction). If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged on this page with a new "last updated" date, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
